Maury Wills with his speed and baserunning skills revolutionized the game and he helped lead the Dodgers to 3 World Series Championships. Maury and Joe talk about his career and his hopes of one day being elected to the Hall of Fame. Then Joe welcomes "Cowboy Joe", Joe West, who has been an umpire in the Major Leagues for over 30 years. Bob talks about growing up in New York, going to St. Bonaventure and how injuries limited him from reaching his full potential. He also gives his opinion on Dwight Howard and how he has tried to give back to the community since retiring. Then, Joe welcomes Turner Sports broadcaster and 2x NBA Champion, Kenny Smith to the show. First up, Ken Griffey Sr., Joe's former teammmate from the Big Red Machine days discusses his upbringing and how he was discovered by the Reds. He and Joe reminisce about some of their memories together including the 1975 World Series and what pitchers gave them the most trouble. Then, Eric Davis joins the show and talks about how he never let all the injuries he suffered in his career bring him down and that he was most proud of his defensive effort on the baseball field. They have a fascinating discussion exploring what led Ken to do films on the Civil War, the Statue of Liberty and others including baseball. Mr. Burns describes how baseball was a reflection of society throughout the 20th century and what impact the Civil War is still having on American life.
